Back to the Dating Scene

So, while I'm still pretty confused by the Crepe Guy thing, I have started the online dating again (I had the matches shut off while I was with Crepe Guy). There are two potentials, but one I'm hoping works out!

Pastry Chef -- yup, that's what he is. He's worked at The French Laundry in Napa, and now is a restaurant manager in San Francisco. He studied Italian cuisine in Italy (Florence, specifically), French cuisine in London and Ontario (he wanted Paris but doesn't speak French), and then pastry in Rhode Island. He went to the University of Florida for a master's degree and to work for the university (I'm not sure what he did or if he actually got the degree or what it was in, but I'm working on it!). He's pretty funny and sarcastic, at least via online channels. We went through the whole eHarmony process and now I've sent him 2 emails and he responded to the first one but not the second one yet (although I really just sent it). He did say that he was putting out an open invitation for me to slip him my phone number if/when I wanted to talk instead of write, so I sent it in this last email. We'll see . . . although I'm pretty sure that simply the fact that I like him means that he's going to be way in to me and then randomly break up with me for an unknown reason.

Lifeguard -- also nicknamed by occupation (sorry, having not met these guys, it's hard to come up with very creative ones!). He used to be a financial analyst but then got laid off and now is lifeguarding at the University of San Francisco. He seems pretty cool -- funny and dorky, although I don't think it will work out because it seems like he's way more athletic than I am. It also seems like he is too low key, and Alien was too low key, so I'm trying to avoid that again. He has a huge smile, though. That's a plus.

So, anyway, what's going on with all of you? Let me know so that I can live vicariously through you now .

Libby
